Coach Rebekah Takes on New York!

We love seeing FCGS coaches continue to grow, learn, and make an impact beyond our fields! Coach Rebekah recently had the incredible opportunity to travel to New York City and participate in Manchester City’s Young Leaders Summit through Football For Her.

The Young Leaders Summit brought together emerging coaches and leaders from across the United States for a week of leadership development, hands-on coaching, collaboration, and community impact. Led by Manchester City and City in the Community coaches, participants explored how the game can be used for more than developing players—using football to build confidence, create inclusive environments, and positively impact young people and their communities.

Rebekah was able to take part in this experience through Football For Her, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit that creates safe and inclusive opportunities for girls and non-binary youth to play, while providing mentorship and access to resources and experiences within the game.

We’re proud to have coaches like Rebekah representing FCGS, investing in their own development, and bringing new ideas and experiences back to our players and coaching community.
